I used this to repair my 100' expandable garden hose that broke at the female end. Being 3/8" the parts were hard to find locally, but thankfully I located them on Amazon. It comes with parts to fix 2 female ends. It was a tad difficult to work the 3/8" barbed piece into the rubber inner hose, but I finally got it. Then I pulled up the outer covering & put the clamp over that. So far the fix (and parts) are working well. The materials seem to be good quality, and better than the original parts. The only part that I might change would be the washers, as they appear more plastic... but for now seems to be working fine too. Overall, I recommend this product, and feel it is a good value for the money... especially compared to purchasing a new 100' hose! NOTE: be sure and clamp the hose first, before working with it, to keep the expandable, inner hose from receding way back into the outer covering. Also, examine the inner hose around the area that you are working, and cut off any part that looks cracked or damaged, to hopefully, keep from doing this a 2nd time.
