Great drinking water safe hose reel. Solid construction. I roll up 200ft of 5/8 hose on this, pulling the hose up a steep hill. It reels up smooth and easy. I would hate to do that with a cheap plastic reel. Worth every penny.Went together relatively easy. Rock solid on the wall. I mounted it on my brick façade and it works great. My wife loves how easily it winds up 150 ft of hose. She's 125 lbs and 67 yrs old. This is one smooth operating hose reel.I read a lot of the other reviews and weighed the negative reviews carefully. People give bad product reviews when they have bad experiences with a supplier. Others with warranty issues. Every manufacturer puts out a faulty product from time to time and its how they deal with it that determines the difference between bad or favorable reactions.Love this thing a lot. Very smooth operation. Forgiving of any twisting. I did order the extension tube to allow me some more play. I think they could provide a smaller set of lag screws for some siding situations but this was minimal. Overall this reel takes a lot of weight and works very well. Time will tell if the fabric they use to hold down the hose starter will degrade with time but its a nice and clean implementation right now.Expensive but well worth the price for a quality product that looks like it will last forever. You can see my photo of failed hose reels from the big box stores. Only one thing they also sell an ELEY hose, it’s over twice the price as any other hose I’ve compared . Not sure of why it would be so much? Is it any better than Flexzilla at less than half the price. Also Flexzilla comes with lifetime warranty. Don’t know how the ELEY hose could be any better than that. If you know please advise. I might be way off on the hose, but can’t compare, don’t want to waste over $300.00 on a hose that seems to work like any other hose.Hose reel it’s self is well worth the investment.Very well built and easy to use. Highly recommendExpensive hose reel but it’s the highest quality I’ve ever seen in my life including the design and especially the fittings.If purchasing the extended reel - Only thing I noticed they left out in the instructions was for the extended hose reel; it does not say to swap out the longer tube for the wall mounted reel, but I easily figured that out as there was no other option. The hardest part was swapping the tube because it has a notch so you have to clear it by prying on the bracket to open it up.Love this reel. Very well made and durable. I have another one made by the same company that is 20 years old and still works perfectly. Slightly difficult to assemble. Highly recommend.great product. excellent quality. extremely sturdy. easy to put together and mount / install. nice paint job/finish of the material. holds plenty of hose with the extra capacity option. No plastic. Made in the USA. just ordered a second one for the other side of the house. Extremely impressed.
